Job summary

Caladan is seeking a Trading Platform Engineer to keep orders-to-market systems fast, observable, and dependable. You will build tooling for the trading platform, own the latency path end to end, and act as the first line of response during production issues.

Key focuses include developing new features, building a robust monitoring layer, and supporting incidents with systematic triage and fixes. You will also maintain routine service configurations and automate deployments in a Linux

Qualifications

Experience building or supporting low-latency trading infrastructure in a Linux environment.
Hands-on with kernel bypass networking and performance tuning, including NUMA and CPU affinity.
Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, Bash or Go) and comfort with modern codebases.
Experience with observability and alerting tooling (Prometheus, Grafana) and thoughtful alert design.

Responsibilities

Develop new features and improvements for trading platform tools.
Build the monitoring layer for essential trading services, from health dashboards to alerting on time-critical paths.
Provide on-call support during production incidents and triage to service owners when needed.
Own routine maintenance of essential services (version rollouts, configuration changes).
Tune end-to-end latency paths, including kernel-bypass networking.
Establish and maintain latency baselines to surface regressions before they reach the desk.
