Job summary

ABB w Krakowie poszukuje lidera zespołu ds. Trade Finance Delivery Center. Rola obejmuje nadzorowanie end-to-end przetwarzania gwarancji i transakcji trade finance, identyfikowanie ryzyk i usprawnianie procesów w międzynarodowym środowisku.

Wymagane 3–5 lat doświadczenia w Treasury, wykształcenie z zakresu Finansów/Bankowości, biegła znajomość angielskiego; znajomość niemieckiego i hiszpańskiego będzie atutem. Praca hybrydowa w Polsce; umowa o pracę.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Treasury, especially administration and handling of Trade Finance instruments
• University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, Economics or related field is required
• Solid understanding of Trade Finance instruments; knowledge of URDG and UCP is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Excel and Windows applications
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. banks, business units) and fluent English; German/Spanish is a plus
• Valid work permit / visa allowing employment in Poland

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior member of the Export and Trade Finance operations team, independently managing end-to-end processing of guarantees and counter-guarantees
• Handle complex, non-standard, high-risk trade finance transactions while ensuring compliance with internal policies, bank requirements, and regulatory standards
• Provide expert operational support and guidance to local business units on day-to-day trade finance and treasury matters
• Serve as a key contact for ABB core banks, leading discussions on operational topics and managing escalations
• Act as a SME and reference point for process-related questions within the team
• Proactively identify process inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in treasury and transformation projects, supporting design, implementation and change adoption
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions and regions to ensure effective delivery of trade finance services
• Maintain strong risk awareness, compliance and adherence to quality standards
• Demonstrate ABB values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility and promoting trust and collaboration
• Show ownership and decision-making capability, able to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Support and mentor less experienced team members to boost overall capability

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide advice to internal customers (functions or businesses) in various Treasury areas. Each day, you will identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to minimize and reduce risks. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing appropriate financial instruments and transactions required to manage the risk. We are strengthening the Global Trade Finance Development Center (TFDC) as Center of Expertise (CoE) for Export & Trade Finance processes in Kraków. We are looking for talented and self -driven candidates who would like to contribute to this event and be part of this great undertaking.

This role is contributing to the Trade Finance Delivery Center in Americas, APAC or EMEA region. Main stakeholders are banks and internal ABB project managers from various businesses.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Acting as a subject‑matter expert and point of reference for process‑related questions within the team
• Proactively identifying process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities, and actively contribute to or lead continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across functions and regions to ensure effective delivery of trade finance services

Qualifications For The Role

• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in Treasury, especially administration and handling of Trade Finance instruments
• Possess University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, Economics, or a related field
• Possess solid understanding of Trade Finance instruments; knowledge of URDG and UCP is considered an advantage
• You are proficient user of MS Excel and standard Windows applications
• Possess strong communication skills with experience in daily cooperation with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. banks, business units)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
• Communicative proficiency in German and Spanish would be an asset
• You have valid work permit / visa allowing employment in Poland
