Job summary

Young World Physical Education is hiring a Track and Field Assistant Coach to support the head coach in developing a successful program and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. This full-time position emphasizes student-athlete development, where the coach will assist with planning practices and competitions, as well as ensuring compliance with athletic policies.

The ideal candidate should have previous coaching or playing experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and an Ohio coaching certification.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting practices and competitions.
• Support student-athlete development in track and field events.
• Promote good sportsmanship and positive team culture.
• Assist with supervision of student-athletes during practices, meets, and team activities.
• Follow all district, conference, and state athletic policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
