Billennium seeks an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a healthcare project. You will design and maintain UI and API test automation using Playwright and TypeScript, while integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensuring robust test reporting.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer who will join a project for a leading healthcare organization.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end UI and API test automation using Playwright and TypeScript (including fixtures, projects, resilient locators, page objects, parallel execution, and trace debugging)
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins), including matrices, parallel runs, artifacts (traces, videos, screenshots), and test result reporting
• Own version control workflows in Git/GitHub: branching strategy, pull requests, code reviews, protecting main branches, and enforcing automation quality standards
• Collaborate closely with Product, Developers, and DevOps to review requirements, define test strategies, and ensure testability of user stories and technical designs
• Perform code reviews for test automation, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices, coding guidelines, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in test automation and building frameworks for web applications.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Page Object Model or similar patterns for UI automation.
• Experience with API test automation (REST/GraphQL) using Playwright APIRequest or dedicated tools (Postman, REST-assured, etc.).
• Practical experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), including test stages, parallel execution, and artifact publishing.
• Strong experience with Git and GitHub for collaboration: branching, pull requests, code reviews, tags, and release branches.
• Demonstrated ability to lead QA initiatives or a small team: setting priorities, coordinating testing activities, and representing QA in cross-functional discussions.
• Experience mentoring junior or mid-level QA engineers in test design, automation patterns, and debugging techniques.
• Proven track record of driving automation strategy (what to automate, where to place tests in the pyramid, when to refactor or decommission flaky suites).
