Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Automation Squad covering work across the Tribe. You will be contributing to the following services and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test automation frameworks; build relevant test automation knowledge and competencies in delivery/testing teams.
• Oversee development and ensure adherence to industry best practice standards.
• Collaborate with delivery, testing teams and external partners across Euroclear Group.
• Actively promote the adoption of test automation: support pilots, share successes, improve from retrospectives, capture meaningful measures, upskill Test Engineers in Automation Frameworks.
• Own and create the Test Automation Frameworks and artefacts.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, priorities, and constraints related to test automation; educate them on benefits and support opportunity identification.
• Support the Tribe with Test Automation to aid delivery of the Roadmap, managing related investments, benefits, capacity, delivery plan and metrics for automation.
• Consider continuous improvements and drive innovation.
• Develop and implement automation strategy and vision, aligning with wider group initiatives.

Key Skills

• Hands‑on experience in coding/scripting:
  • Minimum requirement: UFT, Java, Cucumber, Selenium, RestAssured, C#, Specflow, RestSharp, VBA, Azure DevOps (TFS), ALM, Git, Unix, IBM MQ, SQL, Github CoPilot.
  • Nice to have: ReadyAPI, Openshift, Kafka, Artifactory, SonarQube, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Liquibase, Cobol, Python, PowerAutomate, UiPath, Pega.
• Experience of BDD/TDD.
• Proven experience creating test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Creation of automation & tooling strategies.
• Mastery of testing phases and types.
• Experience with multiple technologies/platforms/environments (Mainframe/Distributed).
• Experience working with multi‑locations including offshore.
• Preferably finance sector.
• Analytical, problem‑solving, creative thinker, result‑driven, proactive.
• Education: Software engineering preferred.
