Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Kraków is seeking a Project Tender Engineer focused on Win-Work to evaluate tender submissions and studies. You will join the Services One Engineering Department in Kraków, owning tender projects and FEED studies and coordinating with project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage tender projects and study/FEED tasks.
  • Coordinate with Project/Engineering Managers on progress.
  • Plan, document and present design solutions at reviews.
  • Create and review technical documentation for internal and external customers.
  • Provide engineering support across functions (Commercial, Planning, Quality, Sourcing).
  • Estimate project execution with durations and man hours; develop execution plans.

Job Purpose

In the TechnipFMC Subsea Drilling Products Value Stream, we create unique value in the Subsea Drilling market by developing and supporting innovative solutions to solve the most difficult challenges. We are looking for a Project Tender Engineer with a focus on Win-Work. Evaluating the technical aspects of tender submissions and studies who can join our team in the Services One Engineering Department in Kraków .

Job Description

Ownership and responsibility for a tender project, managing tasks, reporting progress to Tender Project Managers and Tender Engineering Managers

Ownership and responsibility for a Study or FEED, managing tasks, reporting progress to Project Managers and Engineering Managers

Planning, documenting and presentation of design solutions at formal reviews internally and at customer meetings

Creation and review of technical documentation required for internal and external customers throughout the value stream

Engineering support required for internal and external customers through collaboration across different business functions (Project Management, Commercial, Planning, Quality, Sourcing & Procurement, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Operations)

Estimation of project execution in compliance with Global Business Process and Managementsystems, including durations and man hours and development of Engineering Execution Plans and Schedules

Evaluating technology readiness to determine product maturity and establishing gaps as well as identifying actions required to develop and implement appropriate mitigation strategies

Identifying risks, threats & opportunities as well as assigning and completing mitigating actions that will affect project execution

Evaluating regional regulations, Industry codes, standards, recommended practices and Customer specifications and are able to identify and negotiate technological or quality driven variations internally and with customer

  • Communicating trends and shifts in customer requirements to SDS Value Stream that will help identify future customer needs and gaps in the market.

Support Lean process and product development improvements through Lessons Learned, Root Cause Analysis, other methods of Continuous Improvement used within the SDS Engineering function

Required Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design or other related field

+3 years of professional experience

Ability to apply engineering skills throughout the product life cycle

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to read, interpret and prepare technical input to the designs

Ability to determine differences between client specifications, company interpretation, and industry standard code requirements during tender, project execution, and for technical problems arising throughout design

Ability to identify technological gaps and prepare solutions with appropriate level of consideration for design, development, and qualification requirements to deliver compliant products and services

Application of skills with product improvements, improving safety, quality, and cost factors

Able to manage and mitigate risk across the project, including the management of interfaces with other sub-systems

Breadth and depth of knowledge across several manufacturing methods across the manufacturing industry

Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment with a variety of cultures

Experience with Engineering product databases, business ERP systems, MS office applications

Experience in 3D CAD Software

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written with suppliers and customers, internal and external

Willingness to travel occasionally
