Job summary

TechnipFMC seeks a Senior Electrical Analysis Engineer to join the Controls & Automation team at the Krakow Engineering Center. The engineer will evaluate integrated oil/gas solutions across system architectures and define baseline requirements for manufacturing to ensure safety, quality, and performance.

Collaborating with the Systems Engineering Group in Kongsberg, Norway, the role involves front-end analysis, report creation, and close interaction with clients and suppliers to align data

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in analysis or related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of electrical system components (transmission lines, cables, switches, transformers).
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) - B2.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical power transmission and signal communication analysis.
  • Identify minimal cost solutions for subsea/offshore systems and define architecture data needs.
  • Create and publish analysis reports for project stakeholders.
  • Conduct numerical analysis for power supply, transmission, and signal distribution.
  • Define input data for system components to build high-fidelity simulations.
  • Support system architecture risk identification and automated shutdown analyses.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering to document and negotiate requirements.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a motivated engineering professional to join our Controls & Automation Team in Krakow Engineering Center. As an Senior Electrical Analysis Engineer, you will be providing engineering expertise for the evaluation of integrated oil/gas solutions across the entirety of system architectural designs and to devise baseline requirements for equipment manufacturing to ensure functionality, performance, quality, safety, health, and environmental protection criteria. You will be working in close cooperation with Systems Engineering Group in Kongsberg, Norway.

Job Description
  • Performing electrical power transmission and signal communication analysis
  • Performing integrated front-end analysis engineering to identify minimal cost solutions for subsea/offshore production systems including electrical and communications distribution architectures
  • Creating and publishing analysis reports and presenting to internal and external project team stakeholders
  • Performing numerical analysis for electrical power supply and transmission systems, communication package equipment and signal distribution including electrical communications
  • Defining needed input data for system components in order to produce high fidelity simulations for equipment architectures and work with clients and equipment suppliers to develop common understanding and agreement on data needs
  • Supporting identification of system architecture risks including failure and recovery modes and automated/autonomous shutdown systems and their analysis
  • Helping in the documentation and negotiation of system and product requirements in collaboration with Systems Engineering
You are meant for this job if:
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Professional experience will be a great asset
  • Broad knowledge of electrical system components such as transmission lines, cables, switches, fuses, power transformers, line transformers, electric filters, etc.
  • Ability to use electrical circuit simulation tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, MicroCap, MATLAB/Simulink or similar tool
  • Accuracy, dependability and high attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written - B2
  • Min. 6 years of experience in analysis or related field of expertise
