Job summary

Wlgroup is seeking a defence-focused research analyst to catalogue emerging technologies and assess their relevance to defence planning. The role supports the innovation branch, promoting experimentation with tech-based solutions in realistic environments and feeding the foresight and defence planning strands it supports.

Relocation to Norfolk, Virginia is provided with NATO-5 visa. You will educate staff, maintain the knowledge base and work within multi-domain force development teams.

Qualifications

• A bachelor degree from a recognised university in computer science, information and communication technology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least two years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research and technology information.
• Knowledge of national science and technology sources.
• Experience judging how future technology applies in a military environment.
• The ability to work analytically on technology documentation and build practical adoption examples.
• Comfortable with office tooling and open-source research.
• Fluent professional English.
