Technical Lead / Senior Embedded Linux Developer IRC280766

The project is about developing embedded software for modern smart home appliances. These appliances are complex systems divided into multiple nodes connected via a bus network, measuring parameters such as pressure, temperature, and mechanical element movements in real time. Collected data is processed and used to control motors, heaters, valves, pumps, and fans. On top of that, the system must stay interconnected with other devices in modern smart home solutions. We’re looking for a Technical Leader Software Developer in C++.

Requirements

• Practical experience with coding.
• Embedded Linux specialist, capable of managing services such as BT/BLE (bluez/bluetoothd/hci), WiFi (wpa_supplicant, hostap, connman, iw) via DBUS.
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux, including device drivers and user-space libraries (nl80211, libnl, libnl-genl, DBus).
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing).
• In-depth knowledge of DBus (architecture, objects, interfaces, methods, signals) and experience using DBus from C++ (dbus libraries).
• Experience with Linux power management systems (system suspend, reset, wake sources, wakelocks).
• Strong problem analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• English proficiency: B2 or higher.

Job responsibilities

• Lead technical decisions and provide recommendations based on expertise and project requirements.
• Support the team in solving complex technical challenges.
• Design software for new features and changes.
• Create and assign work tasks for the development team.
• Identify and address technical mismatches, risks, and feasibility issues.
• Estimate effort for JIRA tickets and perform code reviews.
• Collaborate with the development team and software architects to ensure alignment with requirements and goals.
• Review software design specifications and perform bug analysis.
• Act as Deputy Product Owner, monitor sprint goals, and report risks.
• Coordinate with the project lead on unplanned requests, bugs, or scope changes.
