Job summary

Valeo Powertrain Systems in Czechowice-Dziedzice invites a Customer Applications engineer to lead technical ownership of low-voltage products, BOM management, and product functionality from RFQ to serial production. You will represent R&D to the customer and act as the primary R&D interface, translating customer requests into actionable internal tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Project Management.
• Strong proficiency in technical drawing.
• Professional experience in a similar role or in project development.
• Knowledge of ASPICE/ASIL is a strong asset.
• Experience with hardware/software integrated products preferred.
• Basic system-level knowledge advantageous.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and an international environment.
• Creative, proactive, and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility for low-voltage products (with and without HW/SW systems).
• Ownership of the BOM and product functionality based on requirements.
• Involvement in product development from RFQ phase through serial production.
• Representing the R&D function to the customer.
• Acting as the primary R&D interface for the customer; cascading requests internally.
• Establishing detailed activity breakdowns to meet deadlines.
• Defining test specifications, planning, and supervision, including interpretation of results.
• Managing product changes, deviations, and risk assessments.
• Solving production issues within the product area; conducting risk analyses (D-FMEA/DRBFM).
