Job summary

Masabi is seeking a Technical Lead for Passenger Apps to drive delivery across iOS, Android and Web, shaping architecture, design and delivery discipline. The role balances hands-on coding with people leadership, ensuring high-quality releases and smooth migrations of Masabi's Justride SDK and public APIs.

The position supports remote work for candidates based in Poland, with a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on engineer focused on native platforms (Swift/UIKit or Kotlin/Coroutines).
• Led technical delivery across engineering teams with design guidance.
• Experience growing and managing engineers through 1:1s and feedback.
• Experience delivering production apps, migrations or modernization.
• Familiar with SDK and API integrations.

The Role_

// As part of the Passenger Apps team, you'll lead the delivery and ongoing development of Masabi's native passenger applications, the white-label Justride/Passenger experience deployed across transit agencies worldwide, spanning iOS, Android and Web.

This is a hands-on Technical Lead role with a balance of approximately 50% technical contribution and 50% people leadership, delivery management and team coordination. Alongside supporting a team of engineers, you'll remain actively involved in technical design, implementation, code reviews and delivery planning, focused on integrating Masabi's Justride SDK and public API platform capabilities.

Responsibilities_

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Own delivery across the Passenger iOS, Android and Web applications, clearing blockers and keeping releases predictable

• Remain actively involved in technical implementation, design discussions and code reviews, setting the bar for engineering quality

• Drive the integration of Masabi's Justride SDK and public APIs into Passenger applications

• Lead application migrations, release management, rollout planning and deployment activities

• Support engineering practices that enable effective delivery across the team

People Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and support a team of engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, performance feedback and clear development conversations

• Create an environment where engineers can grow, develop and do their best work

• Partner closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders to align priorities, delivery plans and team goals

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture

• Contribute to hiring, onboarding and team growth activities as needed

• Provide visibility on delivery progress, risks and dependencies to stakeholders

About You_

• Strong hands‑on engineer at heart, current in at least one native platform (Swift/UIKit or Kotlin/Coroutines) and able to move confidently across both

• You’ve led technical delivery across engineering teams, owning quality through code review and design guidance rather than stepping back from the work

• You've managed and grown engineers directly, running 1:1s, coaching and honest feedback

• Comfortable in multi‑tenant or white‑label products, where one codebase serves many customers with different needs

• Experience delivering and evolving production applications, including migrations or modernisation efforts

• Knowledgeable and experienced in SDK and API integrations

• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools and able to demonstrate how you’ve incorporated them into engineering workflow

• A calm communicator who keeps stakeholders aligned and can hold the balance between coding and leading

Nice to Have_

• Familiarity with release management, rollout strategies and deployment processes

• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and engineering quality practices

• Participation in hiring, onboarding or team growth initiatives

• Prior experience in Fintech or Transit domains
