Job summary

GFT Poland is seeking a Tech Lead Java Engineer with Spark to join a global agile team in Kraków. You will design, develop and manage large-scale data processing and storage solutions that enable data-driven decision making in risk management and regulatory compliance.

You will work with Java or Scala, Spark, and Big Data technologies, building ETL pipelines and collaborating with data scientists.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Java or Scala.
• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of Big Data processing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and IT Analysts to understand requirements.
• Build and manage data processing components and storage technologies.
• Onboard new data sources and develop scalable data pipelines.
• Support application teams by delivering data views and datasets.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionise analytical solutions.
• Follow CI and TDD practices.
