Job summary

REQUIREMENTS:

  • a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in the discipline of Pedagogy,
  • aptitude for teaching, evidenced by experience in delivering academic courses at a higher education institution as well as other forms of educational activities (training sessions, workshops, and educa-tional classes),
  • documented experience in developing original or co-authored materials supporting the teaching and learning process, such as course scripts, exercise materials, instructions, lesson plans, presentations, multimedia materials, and courses or resources for online and blended learning,
  • documented competence in the application of contemporary teaching methods and tools, demon-strated through experience in their use in educational activities or through the completion of courses, training programs, or other forms of professional development, particularly in active-learning, pro-ject-based, workshop-based,
    e-learning, or blended-learning methodologies,
  • documented experience in the development, co-creation, updating, or improvement of educational programs, study curricula, syllabi, learning outcomes, or other elements of the design and organise-tion of the educational process,
  • documented experience in supporting academic teachers in improving their teaching practice particularly through the delivery or co-delivery of “train-the-trainer” workshops and training ses-sions, methodological consultations, classroom observations, or other activities aimed at enhancing the quality of the teaching and learning process,
  • documented experience in organising academic initiatives, projects or events gained in an academic environment, including participation in initiatives, projects, events, or other activities requiring plan-ning and teamwork,
  • proficiency in English at a minimum B-2 level, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe. Candidates who are not Polish citizens must provide a certificate confirming proficiency in the Polish language at B-2 level or higher.

Specific Requirements

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in the discipline of Pedagogy,
  • Documented experience in independently planning, coordinating, or carrying out assigned tasks and initiatives, evidenced by serving in coordination, managerial, or organizational roles, or by assuming responsibility for
    a defined scope of tasks within projects, teams, or other initiatives.

The competition is conducted in accordance with the principles of the OTM-R (Open, Transparent and Merit-Based Recruitment) Policy, and the recruitment process takes into account the European Charter for Researchers, the AGH Gender Equality Plan, the Principle of Equal Treatment, and the Accessibility Policy. The recruitment process will be conducted in two stages:

  • Formal assessment stage – verification of the completeness of submitted documents and compliance with the requirements specified in the Act, the AGH Statute, and the competition announcement.
  • Substantive assessment stage – objective and merit-based evaluation of applications submitted by candidates who successfully pass the previous stage; interview with candidates may be conducted (either on-site or remotely).

Evaluation Criteria

1. Teaching Achievements – maximum 35 points, including:

a. Previous experience in teaching at a higher education institution, taking into account the type and format of classes conducted as well as the number of teaching hours completed (max. 10 points);

b. Teaching competencies documented by certificates or certificates of completion of train-the-trainer courses courses or other forms of education that enhance qualifications in conducting training sessions, workshops, and academic classes (max. 10 points);

c. Experience in developing teaching materials, such as course scripts, exercise materials, or laboratory manuals (max. 10 points);

d. Experience in developing new educational programmes and curricula (max. 5 points).

2. Organizational Achievements – maximum 15 points

a. Communication and organizational skills, ability to collaborate and manage relationships, and personal attributes supporting effective teamwork and communication.

Candidates have the right to file an appeal against the outcome of the competition procedure within 5 working days from the date of receiving notification of the decision.
