Job summary

BorgWarner in Kraków invites a Systems Development Engineer to own traction inverter system functions across the product lifecycle. You will work with software, hardware, and test teams to deliver cutting-edge power electronics for EVs.

Minimum 2 years in automotive electronics or embedded systems, a BSc in Electrical Engineering, and experience with requirements engineering, ASPICE/ISO 26262, and tools like Polarion/DOORS are expected. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive electronics development, embedded systems, power electronics, or a related engineering field.
• Experience applying Systems Engineering principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements engineering and requirements management.
• Understanding of embedded systems consisting of hardware and software components.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Own system functions for automotive power electronics and inverter products.
• Define, analyze, and manage system requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, controls, and test engineers to deliver robust system solutions.
• Drive technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support system architecture activities and function development.
• Lead technical risk assessments, trade-off analyses, and engineering reviews.
• Analyze internal and customer defects.
• Support verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with product requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and best practices.
