Job summary

Totum Partners is recruiting a Systems Security Specialist in Warsaw on a hybrid basis, three days in the office. The role involves monitoring security events, coordinating with an outsourced SOC, and driving improvements across governance, risk and compliance.

• Hands-on cyber security experience in security operations or SOC.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
• Proficient with SIEM and EDR/XDR; vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials.
• Experience with incident response and security investigations.

Job description

We're partnering with a leading international professional services organisation to recruit a Systems Security Specialistwho is looking to take the next step in their cyber security career.

Location: Warsaw (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)

This is far more than a traditional operational security role. While you'll play a key part in protecting the organisation's technology estate on a day-to-day basis, you'll also have the opportunity to influence the future direction of the firm's security programme. As the role evolves, you'll gain increasing ownership across governance, risk, compliance and security strategy, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a broader Information Security position.

Working closely with an outsourced Security Operations Centre (SOC), you'll be responsible for monitoring threats, responding to incidents, managing vulnerabilities and helping to strengthen the organisation's overall security posture within a modern Microsoft environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Monitor, investigate and respond to security incidents alongside the outsourced SOC partner.
• Manage vulnerability assessments, prioritise remediation activities and improve vulnerability management processes.
• Administer identity and access management, ensuring least privilege principles are maintained.
• Analyse threat intelligence and translate emerging threats into practical security improvements.
• Support penetration testing, technical risk assessments and third-party security reviews.
• Contribute to the development of security policies, standards and controls.
• Assist with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, GDPR and wider compliance activities.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
• Deliver and enhance security awareness initiatives across the business.
• Advise stakeholders on cyber security risks and recommend improvements.

What We\'re Looking For

You\'ll already have experience within a hands-on cyber security role and be looking for an opportunity where you can broaden your responsibilities and make a genuine impact.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• Security Operations or SOC environments.
• Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
• SIEM, EDR/XDR platforms and vulnerability management.
• Incident response and security investigations.
• Security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or Cyber Essentials.
• Identity and access management.
• Security risk, governance or compliance activities.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, or a desire to work towards CISSP or CISM.
