Job summary

Flowberg IT is expanding its Wroclaw-based team to build modern Big Data solutions. We seek SysOps/Infrastructure engineers to design architecture for analytics stacks, size systems, and administer Linux servers while collaborating with SSEs, PMs, and project leads to meet customer requirements.

The role requires strong Linux, virtualization, and cloud tooling skills, plus English communication. We offer a hybrid/remote setup with regional offices and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Advanced Linux knowledge; complex network configuration.
• Strong design and architecture for cloud and on‑prem infra.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Proxmox).
• ETL tooling familiarity and database installation experience.
• LAN/WLAN, IPSec, VPN networking knowledge.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/Google/Oracle cloud platforms.
• Understanding of microservices, containers, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Very good English; proactive, team player.

Responsibilities

• Create and drive architecture solution for project implementation (architecture solution designer) for a modern analytical stack for big data environments with graph capabilities.
• Gather infrastructure information from SSE or Project Lead / PM and help them create a plan for systems architecture, management and development (sizing).
• Administration of Linux server environment (RedHat family).
• Helping SSE teams and Project Lead /PM with infrastructure tasks.
• Understands and documents customer technical requirements at a detailed level.
• Actively engaged in project improving internal infrastructure tools.
• Configuring and Maintaining CI/CD automation services (Ansible ,Packer, GitLab Terraform).
• Configuring networks on multiple cloud solutions.
• Provide technical assistance / troubleshooting, able to address all the elements of the customer environment from hardware and networking all the way up.

We have experience in building data center services, implementing cybersecurity solutions and completing projects tailored for our clients’ needs.

We are currently engaging our engineering forces to build a team focused on Big Data solution implementations. A team of SysOps Engineers experienced at working with architecture and Solution Engineers along with Project Leads and supported by Data Analysts are going to improve their experience of complex data analytics. We are looking for talented engineers to join our new team, which already has a few experts in the field and engages with us in shaping strategic business lines in the company!

Must Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Equivalent.
• Advanced Linux knowledge. Practical knowledge of network configuration in complex environments (Linux based).
• Strong practical knowledge of design architecture and configuring infrastructures on cloud and on-premises.
• Experience from virtualization technologies (VMWare, Proxmox).
• Practical know-how of the analytical stacks construction on the hardware to database layer (i.e. knows how ETL tools work, has managed a database installation before).
• Practical knowledge of LAN, WLAN, IPSec protocols as well as VPN related topics.
• Administration/troubleshooting of environments running on AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, etc.
• Understanding of cloud-native concepts (Microservices, Containers, DevOps, CI/CD).
• Very good knowledge of the English language.
• Self-driven and proactive attitude.
• Ready to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Preferred Additional Requirements

• Comfortable level working in a metric-driven environment, including reporting on and improving business performance against a set of monthly KPIs and metrics.
• Scripting knowledge (bash)
