Job summary

DCG is seeking a System Engineer for Legacy Application C/C++ to design, develop, and maintain core microservices for credit risk, recommendation, and scoring systems. You will build APIs and calculation engines compliant with regulations across multiple countries.

You will participate in the full software development lifecycle in an Agile Scrum team, collaborating with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions. Strong C/C++ skills and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C and C++ with practical experience serving credit risk or scoring products.
• Good knowledge of XML, mapping, and code flow concepts.
• Familiarity with unit, component, and integration testing concepts.

Position: System Engineer for Legacy Application C/C++

System Engineer for Legacy Application C/C++

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain C and C++ microservices supporting credit risk, recommendation, and credit scoring products
• Build robust APIs and calculation engines supporting compliance with credit scoring and recommendation regulations across multiple countries
• Develop solutions for complex business processes and integrations with credit authorities
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work within an Agile Scrum team environment

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency and in-depth knowledge of C and C++
• Good knowledge of mapping, code flow, and XML
• Understanding of unit, component, integration, and system testing concepts
• Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming principles, and SOLID principles
• Familiarity with Visual Studio
• Practical knowledge of package building and .exe file creation
• Experience using GitHub Copilot
• Very good command of English, both spoken and written

Nice to have:

• Domain knowledge of credit
• Experience in the banking or financial sector
• Basic knowledge of Finnish
