Hitachi Energy Ltd. is hiring a Supply Chain Engineering Specialist in Poland to bridge engineering, supply chain, and NPD activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in engineering, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or NPD.
• Experience with SAP and PPAP/Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Supply Chain representative within NPD projects, aligning engineering and supply chain goals.
• Drive supplier selection, qualification, and development for prototype and production components.
• Source prototype materials, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and project teams to resolve technical and supply challenges.
• Lead SCM-related activities: material planning, cost tracking, PPAP coordination, and documentation.
• Coordinate logistics, inventory, and forecasting to support prototype programs.
• Partner with global managers and engineering stakeholders to optimize supplier networks.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance supplier performance and product quality.

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Supply Chain Engineering Specialist and play a key role in bridging engineering, supply chain, and new product development activities. In this position, you will support the successful introduction of innovative products by ensuring the availability of high‑quality prototype materials, developing strong supplier partnerships, and driving effective supply chain execution throughout the product development lifecycle.

Working closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams, you will contribute to the development of next‑generation energy solutions while strengthening supplier capabilities and optimizing supply chain performance. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise, project coordination, and supplier management in a dynamic and international environment.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Act as the Supply Chain representative within new product development projects, ensuring alignment between engineering and supply chain objectives
• Drive supplier selection, qualification, and development activities for prototype and production components
• Manage sourcing and procurement of prototype materials, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with suppliers and project teams to resolve technical, quality, and supply challenges throughout the development process
• Lead SCM‑related project activities, including material planning, cost tracking, PPAP coordination, and documentation management
• Coordinate logistics, inventory, and forecasting activities to support prototype and development programs
• Partner with global category managers, manufacturing teams, and engineering stakeholders to leverage the best supplier network
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier performance, product quality, and supply chain efficiency

Your Background

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in engineering, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or new product development environments
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, forging, welding, and surface treatment
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and familiarity with quality methodologies such as PPAP and Lean Six Sigma
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills
• Fluent in English and willing to travel to supplier locations as required
