Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to oversee supplier component quality in global automotive projects, driving quality performance and supplier development within a fast-growing eMobility environment.

The role acts as the interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring high-quality standards and supporting smooth product launches through APQP/PPAP, CAPA, and quality tools.

Qualifications

• Technical degree required or preferred in electronics, mechanics, or mechatronics.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as SQE/SQA or in supplier/production quality within automotive.
• Knowledge of quality tools 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001.
• Experience working with suppliers and solving quality issues.
• Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
• English at a communicative level (B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality in automotive projects (SQA).
• Analyze and solve quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa methodologies.
• Coordinate CAPA at suppliers.
• Conduct supplier audits.
• Evaluate and develop suppliers (Supplier Development).

Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Automotive

Join our Quality team in a fast-growing eMobility environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supplier component quality in global automotive projects (including OEMs), with a real impact on quality performance and supply chain development.

Job Purpose

Ensure supplier quality performance by driving effective problem resolution, continuous improvement, and robust supplier development processes. Act as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality standards and support smooth product launches.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality (Supplier Quality Assurance – SQA) in automotive projects
• Analyze and solve quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa methodologies
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) at suppliers
• Conduct supplier audits
• Evaluate and develop suppliers (Supplier Development)
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and global suppliers
• Support new product launches (APQP, PPAP, component implementation)
• Manage supplier changes (Supplier Change Management)
• Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, complaints, KPIs)

Our Requirements

Must-have
