BD is seeking a Supplier Excellence Manager to drive operational excellence across BD’s supplier base, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance quality, delivery, cost, capacity, resiliency, and innovation.

The Supplier Excellence Manager is responsible for driving measurable operational excellence and performance improvement across BD’s strategic and preferred supplier base. This role partners closely with Category Management, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations to improve supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, capacity, resiliency, and innovation.
This is a remote-based role; however, the preferred candidate location should be within approximately 1–2 hours of Wrocław, as occasional presence in the office is required for team meetings, collaboration, and business needs.
For this position, the expected base salary ranges from 16,800 - 19,000 PLN monthly. This reflects a more accurate range than the broader salary band indicated at the end of the job advertisement. The role also includes additional benefits, including an annual bonus.
Monitor and improve supplier performance across key metrics including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
Support development and execution of supplier performance improvement plans.
Partner with suppliers to improve operational capability, manufacturing efficiency, and quality performance.
Conduct supplier capability and maturity assessments.
Lead or support supplier Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve supplier productivity, cost, and quality performance.
Support implementation of BD Excellence tools and best practices across the supply base.
Lead Design-to-Value (DTV) initiatives in partnership with category management and engineering teams.
Conduct cost modeling, should-cost analysis, and cost breakdown analysis to identify savings opportunities.
Support early supplier engagement in new product development programs.
Ensure supplier readiness for new product launches including process capability and capacity readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration, work closely with internal stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in: Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related technical field.
6–10 years of experience in: Supplier development, Supplier quality, Design to Value, Manufacturing engineering, Supply chain operations, Experience working with global manufacturing supplier, driving operational improvements within supplier organizations.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
Certifications such as CQE, CSSBB, or CMQ/OE.
