Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX Collins Aerospace, seeks a Supplier Development Lead to strengthen our global supplier network through capability development, quality improvement, and performance programs in a dynamic aerospace environment. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams.

You will drive containment, recovery, and root-cause investigations while shaping supplier capability growth and risk mitigation across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• University degree with 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Machining and Mechanical Fabrication manufacturing processes.
• Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven expertise in RCCA, APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites (approximately 50% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier containment, recovery, and performance improvement activities to resolve quality and delivery challenges.
• Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations, ensuring robust and sustainable corrective actions are implemented.
• Partner with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to develop, execute, and monitor improvement plans and key performance indicators.
• Conduct supplier capability and risk assessments, identifying development opportunities and mitigation strategies.
• Support supplier capability growth through coaching, maturity assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, long-term monitoring, re‑engagement cycles to ensure supplier performance remains stable.
• Lead supplier site identification and prioritize development efforts aligned with risk, impact, and strategic commodity needs.
• Lead or support supplier transitions and industrial transfers, ensuring operational readiness and business continuity.
• Execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product introductions and supplier transitions.
• Develop, standardize, and improve manufacturing process documentation and quality tools, including PFMEA and Control Plans.
