Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives for the castings commodity. You will develop commodity strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities include leading sourcing from RFQ to contract, managing multiple sites, and coaching peers while influencing policy adherence and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• University degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years; in absence of degree, 12 years of experience.
• 3+ years of prior supply chain experience.
• 3+ years experience with data analysis and spreadsheets.
• Willing to travel 10% of the time

Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commodity Manager, to lead and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for the castings commodity. This role will be responsible for developing and executing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

What You Will Do

• Supports the Castings Commodity
• Executes Supply Chain strategies across multiple sites.
• Develops a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier
• Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity.
• Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.

What You Will Learn

• Sets negotiation terms for the procurement of direct materials.
• Establishes sourcing goals and acceptable service levels.
• Negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
• Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices.
• Evaluates supplier’s capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
• Identifies and conducts research on suppliers to ensure that the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.
• Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed Collins requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of prior supply chain experience
• 3+ years experience with data analysis and spreadsheets
• Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience in strategic sourcing or procurement
• Prior experience with contract negotiations
• APICS OR ISM certification(s)

This role also offers the flexibility to be performed on a fully remote basis.
