Job summary

Hitachi Energy Poland sp. z o.o. invites an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our substation design team in Kraków. The role offers hands-on experience with primary/secondary circuits of HV substations, in a hybrid work setup requiring at least 20 hours per week.

You will assist in project design, prepare technical drawings, and collaborate with senior engineers while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Proactivity and strong communication in Polish and English are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering with focus on P&C, SCADA and primary substation equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; attention to detail.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Zuken E3, Eplan P8 (or similar).
• Excellent communication and teamwork, Polish and English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of electrical substation projects.
• Support preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze and solve engineering problems.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to design discussions.
• Conduct research and gather data to support project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
