Qualifications

• Completed studies ideally as an (economic) engineer or comparable training with several years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in mechanical engineering.
• Negotiating skills as well as moderation, presentation and communication skills.
• Business fluent spoken and written English.
• Knows SAP (MM).
• Confident handling of MS Office packages.
• Flexibility and willingness.
• Implementing AI programs and solutions in purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Participation in development of the local and global procurement strategy and its implementation.
• Implementation of the savings projects in line with the assumed strategy.
• Implementing AI programs and solutions in purchasing
• Selection and qualification of the suppliers and risk assessment
• Contract management.
• Preparing requests for quotes and negotiations.
• Regular assessment of suppliers with regard to quality, timeliness and production capacities.
• Conducting workshops with the suppliers.
• Maintaining and developing relations with the suppliers.
• Taking decisions concerning cost calculations.
• Participation in the process of approving the new suppliers.
• Conducting periodical follow-up meetings with the suppliers.
• Executing other orders of the superior, the character of which corresponds to the qualifications and skills, except for special situations.
