The Steam Turbine Design Liaison Engineer (DLE) position in the Steam Turbine Engineering organization is responsible for providing focused support to our global supply chain partners. We work with an unwavering sense of urgency, quality, and innovation. Our team serves as the bridge between supply chain manufacturing and design engineering groups – we maintain high technical rigor to ensure the quality of the product is not compromised as we support our supply chain and customers.
The selected candidate will drive customer fulfillment excellence, by qualifying suppliers that can meet the engineering specifications called out in our drawings, and he/she will also provide timely resolutions to non-conformance requests, while working with a global technology team of steam turbine component hardware owners to provide resolution on issues that require complex manufacturing & technical support.
This role, in addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers, is critical in driving a team culture of technical and manufacturing domain depth, contemporary leadership, on time quality execution and strong customer-focused mindset.
In this role, the individual shall provide focused, streamlined, and consistent support onsite at a manufacturing facility. The Design Liaison Engineer will handle Parts Qualification, support the implementation of new technologies and manufacturing processes, disposition of Nonconformance requests, Tolerance stack-up and modification issues, support manufacturing quality improvement initiatives, trend defects and recommend resolution for recurring issues.
