Job summary

JetBrains is seeking a skilled engineer to join the Qodana Core team, expanding static analysis capabilities and inter-procedural analysis across JVM languages.

You will own features from concept to release, design algorithms, and collaborate with IDE and compiler teams while ensuring high code quality and scalable performance. The role emphasizes building tools that help developers trust their code, integrating with CI/CD, and supporting international teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of JVM development (Kotlin/Java).
• Experience designing and implementing complex algorithms.
• Fluent English communication for global collaboration.
• Familiarity with static analysis or security is a plus.
• Experience with JVM ecosystems beyond Java is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new static analysis checks and inter-procedural analysis.
• Extend Qodana capabilities in license compliance, security, and vulnerability detection.
• Optimize how code analysis runs and orchestrate execution paths.
• Build and refine CI/CD integrations for broad adoption across workflows.
• Collaborate with JetBrains compiler and IDE teams to align analysis engines.
• Take ownership of features from concept to release with feedback loops.
