Job summary

ActiveCampaign seeks a Staff Software Engineer to anchor our Kraków hub, driving technical direction and AI-driven platform improvements. You will architect scalable agentic features, optimize system performance, and champion modern engineering practices across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate with leadership on architecture and roadmaps. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in multi-stack SaaS environments, strong PHP and React/Ember skills, AI experience, and English

Qualifications

8+ years hands-on software engineering across multiple product areas.
Proven PHP, React/Ember and AI integration experience.
Experience with AWS, CI/CD and observability at scale.
Fluent English (B2) and cross-timezone collaboration.
Knowledge of AI standards or tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction across Kraków Hub teams and act as advisor or embed into squads.
Architect scalable AI features with reliable, maintainable architectures.
Identify and resolve platform bottlenecks with a whole-system view.
Champion AI-assisted engineering practices and tooling adoption.
Mentor engineers and foster high-ownership culture.
Bridge strategy and execution with clear architectural documentation.
