Sprout Social is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Web to join the Front-End Engineering team. You will write clean, performant code and provide technical leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams across web, design, and product management to deliver superior user experiences.

The role emphasizes contributing to code reviews, maintaining coding standards, and driving refactoring for maintainability and scalability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building web applications with frontend technologies (Angular or other major framework, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS).
• Strong expertise in TypeScript.
• Fluency in agentic coding workflows (Claude Code/Codex/Cursor).
• Communication, project management skills from collaborating with people across different teams and functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, performant, and maintainable code.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members, including less experienced engineers.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver world class customer experiences.
• Participate in and conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Continuously improve the codebase by identifying areas for refactoring and optimization to enhance maintainability and scalability.
