Qualifications

• Proven track record of technical leadership across multiple teams or product areas.
• Deep backend architecture experience in complex applications and platforms.
• Experience modernizing monoliths to modular, scalable architectures.
• Ability to document decisions clearly and influence without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-cutting backend initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Drive modular architecture and modernization of backends.
• Set API, contracts, and testing standards for secure, reliable systems.
• Define shared patterns for data ownership, eventing, and deployment practices.
• Participate in on-call and incident response to improve system reliability.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable patterns across the team.
• Lead AI-assisted workflows and establish guardrails for safe adoption.
