Job summary

Nord Security is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to own data modeling, schema design, and the semantic layer for the product. You will transform raw data into clear, scalable models and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure data reflects how the product actually works.

The role requires deep SQL skills, dbt expertise, and a strong sense of data governance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping analytics architecture, leading data initiatives, and guiding

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar data-focused role
• Strong SQL skills and ability to turn raw data into analytical models
• Experience shaping analytics architecture and making technical decisions while staying hands-on
• Understanding data meaning and business impact, not just storage
• Ability to lead across teams and translate product needs into data solutions
• Experience guiding Data Analysts / Analytics Engineers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Become a founding member of the Data team and lead building the vertical
• Own data modeling and schema design across the product
• Turn raw data into clean, scalable data models
• Build a semantic layer with consistent entities, relationships, metrics and definitions
• Make data understandable for humans and AI
• Own and evolve analytics infrastructure and tooling
• Set standards for data quality, documentation, naming and governance
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing to reflect data needs in models
• Shape how Data Analytics operates as the company grows
