Job summary

Okta seeks an independent Staff Software Engineer to balance technical excellence with disciplined software delivery. You will design AI-powered customer experiences by integrating Salesforce CRM with AWS, and lead complex initiatives across architecture, security, and scalability.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD, and advance AI/ML tooling across the platform, partnering with product, security, and data teams in a Scrum environment. Equity, bonus, and healthcare are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with customer-facing platforms or CRM integrations.
• Proficient in backend development using Python/Java and frontend JS/TS.
• Experience in cloud-native AWS services and AI/LLM integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered customer experiences integrating Salesforce and AWS.
• Architect and deploy context-aware, scalable solutions with LLMs.
• Lead complex customer-experience initiatives from discovery to production.
• Develop prompt strategies and safe AI interaction patterns.
• Drive CI/CD and observability for enterprise-grade reliability.
• Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions.
