Job summary

REIZ TECH UAB in Poland is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to design, build and scale high-performance backend systems for our fintech product. You will own complex technical solutions, influence architecture and ensure secure, robust code aligned with industry standards.

You will work with PHP 8.x, Symfony/Laravel, MySQL/MariaDB, and Docker, create REST APIs, implement CI/CD, and mentor junior developers while upholding SOLID principles and GDPR security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level PHP 8.x and modern development practices.
• Extensive experience with Laravel or Symfony, including deep framework understanding.
• Strong experience with MySQL or MariaDB (query optimization, schema design, normalization).
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles.
• Proficiency with Git (branching strategies, code reviews, release workflows).
• Experience with PHPUnit and defining test strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized production environments.
• Strong knowledge of caching strategies and performance optimization.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub preferred).

• Work effectively with legacy and modern codebases, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze, understand, and maintain code independently, using AI tools as supporting resource rather than primary dependency.
• Architect robust, secure, high-performing solutions aligned with fintech standards.
• Build and maintain REST APIs, ensuring proper versioning and backward compatibility.
• Optimize database performance (MySQL/MariaDB), including query tuning, schema design, and migrations.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker).

• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.

Join our Development team to support the growth of our fintech product. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems. • More than 7+ years of professional experience in software development

• Expert-level knowledge of PHP 8.x and modern development practices

• Solid understanding of REST API design principles
