Job summary

Xperi Inc. in Warsaw invites a seasoned accounting professional to join our Finance team. You will ensure accuracy and compliance of financial operations in Poland, working with stakeholders, auditors, and tax authorities in a dynamic international setting.

The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days at Skyliner, Prosta 67, 00-838 Warsaw. You will manage general ledger activities, VAT returns, and statutory reporting while supporting audits and financial statements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in a comparable accounting role.
• Solid understanding of Polish GAAP.
• Knowledge of Polish VAT and Corporate Income Tax regulations.
• Strong English written and spoken skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Post invoices and payments following procurement policy and tax rules.
• Coordinate with external accounting providers for timely reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns and liaise with tax authorities.
• Prepare financial statements and support audits.

About the role:

Join Xperi's Finance team in Warsaw and help ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial operations in Poland. Working closely with business stakeholders, external accounting providers, auditors, and tax authorities, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and statutory reporting in a dynamic international environment.

Hybrid role - 3 days in our Xperi Warsaw. Skyliner, Prosta 67, 00-838 Warsaw office.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Manage all general ledger activities, including the booking of journal entries and the reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Oversee the process of posting invoices and payments, ensuring all transactions adhere to the company’s procurement policy as well as applicable accounting and tax regulations.
• Act as the primary liaison with third-party accounting providers to facilitate accurate and timely financial operations and reporting.

Tax Compliance and Reporting

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with statutory requirements and company timelines.
• Communicate directly with the tax office, including handling inquiries and providing required documentation during tax audits.

Financial Statements and Audits

• Prepare financial reports and statements as required by the group, ensuring that all information is complete, accurate, and delivered within set deadlines.
• Compile statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Gather and prepare all necessary documentation to support both internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of five years of experience in a comparable accounting position
• Solid understanding of Polish GAAP, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the VAT and Corporate Income Tax regulations specific to Poland.
• Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, enabling efficient management of workload, and effective prioritization of tasks.
• Good English skills both spoken and written.

Systems

• Proficient with MS Office: MS Excel, Outlook.
• NetSuite preferred; training will be provided if new.
