Job summary

HSBC Poland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own full-stack .NET delivery from inception to transition. You will focus on engineering quality with TDD/ATDD and CI/CD, while shaping technical strategy including cloud adoption and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.

You will collaborate with an international team to deliver scalable solutions, participate in architecture decisions, and mentor peers to elevate code quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on programming experience with .NET and C#.
• Strong database experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Front-end tech: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Angular, Bootstrap.
• Apply Clean Code, C# design patterns, Entity Framework, Unity, and TDD/ATDD.
• Deliver through CI/CD with DevOps and DevSecOps controls.
• Experience with microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English for international collaboration.

Your career opportunity

You’ll join an agile software engineering team building and delivering simplification and automation solutions across the region. As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll take ownership of full stack .NET delivery from inception through to transition, with a strong focus on engineering quality through TDD ATDD and CI CD. The role also contributes to the team’s technical strategy including evergreening, solution quality improvements, cloud roadmap and DevOps and DevSecOps adoption, while partnering closely with the business to shape and commercialise solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver full stack .NET solutions and automated tests across the full project lifecycle

• Translate requirements into working software and iterate quickly in an agile environment
• Run demos with business stakeholders and incorporate feedback into delivered solutions
• Produce and maintain specifications and documentation to support delivery and transition
• Investigate live system faults, diagnose root causes and implement fixes and improvements
• Roll out technical strategy including evergreening, quality uplift, cloud roadmap and DevOps and DevSecOps tooling adoption
• Guide and support other developers on best practices, security expectations and formal procedures such as ITSA and EHC

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Bring substantial hands‑on programming experience with .NET and C#
• Apply strong database experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Build and test modern web UIs using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Angular and Bootstrap
• Use established engineering practices including Clean Code principles, C# design patterns, Entity Framework, Unity and TDD ATDD
• Deliver through CI CD with practical experience of DevOps and DevSecOps controls and tooling
• Work effectively with micro‑services‑based architectures
• Communicate clearly in English both written and verbal when working with technical and business stakeholders
• Collaborate effectively in a diversified international environment, adapting to change and learning new technologies and procedures quickly

What We Offer

The pay range for this role is 18359 PLN - 22000 PLN (monthly, gross). Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
