HSBC Holdings plc in Kraków is seeking talented individuals for the Production Support Team (Payments IT). The team ensures the live operation of Global Payments Execution, Messaging & Orchestration and Sanctions & Investigation services in a mission-critical, real-time environment.

You will work across global stakeholders, drive automation, observability, and toil reduction, and participate in incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and deployment of vendor releases.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years’ experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Min. 3 years’ experience in Linux.
• Min. 3 years’ experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python or Java) for automation.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience in Payments or other transactional systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope of day-to-day Production Support including incident resolution and post-resolution problem management.
• Provide technical expertise to find root cause of major system problems.
• Install new software releases provided by the vendor.
• Provide Production engineering SRE support for real-time payments.
• Drive engineering excellence by automation, observability and toil reduction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the globe.
• Improve monitoring and adopt tools like AppDynamics, Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Analyze data to identify anomalies and support root-cause analysis.

We are looking for skilled individuals for the Production Support Team (Payments IT department). Team is responsible for technical operations of Global Payments Execution, Messaging & Orchestration and Sanctions & Investigation services. Based on Site Reliability Engineering disciplines, the team work in mission critical environment across a breadth of technologies from vendor products to in-house developed micro services.

What you’ll do

• Providing full scope of the day to day Production Support service including resolution of the live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities
• Providing technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems
• Installation of new software releases provided by the vendor
• Providing Production engineering SRE support for the critical real time payments (RTP) for domestic in nature
• Driving the engineering excellence by automation, observability, SRE and toil reduction
• Working closely with various stakeholders located in different places in the world
• Working towards monitoring optimization and related too adoptions like AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus and Open Telemetry (Otel)
• Perform data analysis of key problem areas to assist in root cause analysis and data reconciliations to identify data anomalies

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Min. 3 years’ experience in SQL and PL/SQL
• Min. 3 years’ experience in Linux
• Min. 3 years’ experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with shell scripting (at least one: Bash, Python, Java) for automation purposes
• Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscape, storage, OS, network, database, application
• Strong experience in monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana and OpenTelemetry (OTel)
• Experience in Payments or other transactional systems

Nice to have

• Experience in Agile/ DevOps environment and in assisting in production support

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 17484 PLN - 21000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
