Job summary

Britenet is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of ICT solutions for the Frontex project in Warsaw. The role demands deep experience in enterprise architecture, system integration, and security, with a track record of guiding large-scale software deployments.

You will define architectures, lead development teams, and ensure standards across design, testing and documentation, while coordinating with stakeholders and delivering robust, scalable systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years IT relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience relevant to the profile or at similar position.
  • Master level certificate in a relevant software development technology domain or in architecting software solutions (e.g. TOGAF Certified).
  • Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or equivalent.
  • Experience as key architect in development of at least 2 software systems; expert in enterprise-scale software design and systems security on Microsoft platforms.
  • Proficient in using systems modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect or Aris Architect.
  • Excellent communication, documentation and leadership skills.
  • Experience in projects where OpenShift was used as main platform.

This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting and support of IT systems for Frontex. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in the management of the EU's external borders and the fight against cross-border crime.

  • Minimum 8 years IT relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience relevant to the profile or at similar position
  • At least 2 certifications among:

*** Master level certificate in a relevant software development technology domain or in architecting software solutions (e.g. TOGAF Certified)

*** Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or an equivalent certification recognized internationally (subject to acceptance as a valid credential by the Contracting Authority)

  • Has performed role of key architect in development of at least 2 software systems (one, in the case of the basic profile)
  • Expert in systems architecting in the relevant domain
  • Expert in designing enterprise level software systems
  • Expert in planning capacity and security of the systems
  • Holds excellent technical knowledge about: databases, application servers, communication middleware, web servers, GIS services, directory services, systems security on Microsoft platforms, business intelligence concepts, systems integration and Integrated Development Environments
  • Expert in software development methodologies, lifecycles and artefacts like RUP, ISO12207 and agile methodologies
  • Is proficient in using systems modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
  • Presents excellent communication skills
  • Holds ability to document effectively
  • Presents problem solving skills
  • Presents leadership skills
  • Has experience in the role of Solutions Architect in a project(s) aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution that was part of or was querying Schengen Information System.
  • Has experience in the role of Solutions Architect in a project(s) aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution that enabled

a) scanning fingerprints (at least two (2) fingers) using NIST format or

b) scanning documents that have MRZ, e.g. passports, national IDs, driving license, visa stickers, residence permit or

c) scanning biometric documents that have RFID chip data, e.g. passports, national ID.

  • Has experience in the role of Solutions Architect in project(s) aimed at analysis, design, implementation and deployment of ICT Solution where RedHat Open Shift was used as a main platform.
  • Has knowledge/experience in the area of Data Privacy, Data Protection Impact Assessments and Information Security Risk Assessment in the environment of EU Institutions, understands its challenges and methods for conducting effective analysis
