Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Solution Architect to shape architectural direction within the Investment Bank CTO Architecture team. You will collaborate with Governance Crew and interact with the GCTO organization to ensure IB architecture aligns with divisional and group strategies.

You will develop architectures, lead governance, and partner with IB engineering teams from ideation through delivery while maintaining high-quality outcomes and effective communication across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate architectural standards, guardrails, reference architectures and best practices.

• Assess requests, determine impact, and coordinate responses for the core architecture team.
• Partner with engineering teams early to ensure architectural considerations from ideation to delivery.

Job description

As a Solution Architect within our client, the Investment Bank (IB) CTO Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting the architectural direction of the IB. You will collaborate closely with our Governance Crew and broader IB streams and interact with the Group CTO (GCTO) organization. Your work ensures that IB’s architecture is consistently aligned with both divisional and group-level strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and communicate architectural standards, guardrails, reference architectures and best practices, with alignment to both IB and GCTO strategies
• Lead and manage key architectural governance processes within the IB CTO function, with proactive architectural oversight across the division
• Serve as the primary GCTO point of contact for the Investment Bank, represent IB CTO in group-led initiatives and facilitate clear, relevant communication
• Assess and prioritize incoming requests from IB and GCTO, determine their impact and coordinate responses—absorb operational, data-gathering and coordination tasks to enable the core architecture team to focus on strategic work
• Partner with IB engineering teams early in the project lifecycle to ensure architectural considerations are addressed from ideation through delivery

Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise or solution architecture, across business, application, data and technology domains
• Proven ability to operate in a governance-driven, multi-stakeholder environment where transparency and adherence to process are essential
• Skilled at interpretation, communication and application of group-level architectural strategies within divisional contexts
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, with clarity and structure in ambiguous situations
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both technology and business stakeholders
• Comfortable to work autonomously to set direction, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong focus on quality and ability to learn quickly
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions
• Independent thinker who seeks more efficient ways to achieve objectives
• Fluent in English
