Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a CTO Architect to join a London-led team with Pune support, delivering oversight and solutions for strategic architecture in the Investment Bank CTO function.

You will align IB and group architectural directions, engaging governance across IB CTO, and ensure proactive control while collaborating with distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Solid background in Java development (8+ years).
• Experience with AI-augmented development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• CI/CD with Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab, etc.
• Containers and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
• Scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, etc.
• GitLab or similar, open source contributions.
• Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban).
• DevOps practices and automation.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and communicate architectural standards, guardrails, reference architectures and best practices.
• Own and run governance processes within the IB CTO function, ensuring proactive architectural control.
• GCTO point of contact for the Investment Bank, representing IB CTO in group-led initiatives and ensuring clear communication.
• Triage incoming IB and GCTO work, determine impact, and coordinate responses, shielding the core architecture team.
• Support IB engineering teams with early engagement on new initiatives, ensuring architectural considerations are addressed from ideation to delivery.
• You are: focused on quality, an excellent communicator, aware of technology trends, quick learner, independent yet collaborative, fluent in English.

You'll be joining a small team run from London with support from Pune. Our role is to provide IB technology teams with oversight, support, analysis, and solutions to implement strategic architecture.Your roleThe CTO Architect role sits within the IB CTO Architecture function and provides support across our Governance Crew, wider IB Streams, and interacts with the Group CTO. The role helps ensure the Investment Bank (IB) is aligned with both IB and group‑level architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, evolve, and communicate architectural standards, guardrails, reference architectures and best practices, aligned with both IB and GCTO strategy
• Own and run key architectural governance processes within the IB CTO function, ensuring proactive architectural control across the division.
• GCTO point of contact for the Investment Bank, representing IB CTO in group-led initiatives and ensuring clear, relevant communication flows
• Triage incoming IB and GCTO work, determine impact, and coordinate responses, shielding the core architecture team by absorbing operational, data-gathering, and coordination tasks.
• Support IB engineering teams with early engagement on new initiatives, ensuring architectural considerations are addressed from ideation to deliveryYou are:

Must have

• Containers and container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms
• Infrastructure-as-code, using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
• Scripting languages including Windows PowerShell, Bash etc.
• GitLab or similar, contributing to open source projects
