Job summary

Sabre Corporation in Kraków seeks a Lead Engineer in Data & Analytics to own end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions for enterprise customers, translating business needs into scalable technical outcomes.

You will balance hands-on coding with technical leadership, mentor delivery engineers, and collaborate with product, architecture and SRE to accelerate platform excellence and partner with clients toward long-term success.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java backend experience, paired with good knowledge of Python for data and automation.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD).
• Robust experience with data platforms, streaming/event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka), and solid SQL skills (Relational and NoSQL).
• Proven track record of building and consuming RESTful APIs for mission-critical, high-availability enterprise systems.

Lead Engineer– Service Delivery, Data & Analytics - This role is part of a larger transition and is planned as part of a separate team being created in Kraków.

Role Summary

As a Lead Engineer, you will own complex Data & Analytics solutions end-to-end—from shaping the initial strategy with enterprise customers to hands-on execution.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, translating business hurdles into scalable technical solutions. You will balance technical leadership and mentorship with hands-on development, writing production code and driving engineering excellence. This position offers high autonomy and is designed for a leader ready to track directly into a Principal Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities

Required Experience & Skills
