Job summary

Logitech in Krakow is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join the AOSP/Android team for a 3-month internship. You will help build and optimize core system software powering Logitech video conferencing devices.

This role offers exposure to the Android stack, HAL, system services, and device-to-cloud communication features, with collaboration across engineering and product teams. An internship focused on embedded software with real impact.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed BS/MS in a relevant engineering or technical field.
  • Strong problem-solving with data structures and core algorithms.
  • Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.
  • Basic understanding of Android app development and/or Android system architecture.
  • Object-oriented design and programming fundamentals.
  • Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems architecture and resource constraints.
  • Familiarity with IPC mechanisms and client-server models.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Bash at an everyday user level.
  • Good verbal communication skills in English.
  • Passion for exploring how software interfaces with hardware components.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and customization of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for Logitech video collaboration devices.
  • Work across layers of the Android stack, including HAL, framework, and system services.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of system-level applications and services.
  • Help integrate, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals within the Android ecosystem.
  • Support implementation of secure and reliable device-to-cloud communication features for remote management and telemetry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and product development.
  • Participate in technical reviews of system design and interface requirements.

As part of this vision, our Video Collaboration engineering group is looking for a talented Software Engineer Intern to join our AOSP/Android team for 3 months internship. In this role you will:



  • Contribute to the development and customization of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for our video collaboration devices.

  • Work across various layers of the Android software stack, including the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), framework, and system services.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of system-level applications and services

  • Help integrate, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals within the Android ecosystem.

  • Support the implementation of secure and reliable device-to-cloud communication features for remote management and telemetry.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and product development.

Key Qualifications

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:



  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS/MS in a relevant engineering or technical field.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in data structures and core algorithms.

  • Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.

  • Basic understanding of Android application development and/or Android system architecture.

  • Object-oriented design and object-oriented programming fundamentals.

  • Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading concepts.

  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems architecture and resource constraints.

  • Familiarity with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms and client-server communication models.

  • Familiarity with AI coding tools

  • Basic familiarity with Linux and the Bash shell at an everyday user level.

  • Good verbal communication skills in English.

  • A passion for exploring how software interfaces with hardware components.
