Job summary

Logitech is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join the AOSP/Android team in Krakow for a 3-month internship. You will help build and optimize core system software powering our video collaboration devices.

You will contribute across Android stack layers, including HAL, framework, and system services, while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed BS/MS in a technical field.
• Strong problem-solving with data structures and algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.
• Basic Android development or system architecture knowledge.
• OOP design and programming fundamentals.
• Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading concepts.
• Familiarity with embedded systems architecture.
• Familiarity with IPC mechanisms and client-server models.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools.
• Basic Linux/Bash knowledge.
• Good English communication skills.
• Passion for software-hardware interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and customization of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for video devices.
• Work across HAL, framework, and system services layers.
• Assist in development and maintenance of system-level apps and services.
• Help integrate and troubleshoot hardware peripherals in Android ecosystem.
• Support secure device-to-cloud communication features for remote management and telemetry.

• Contribute to the development and customization of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for our video collaboration devices.
• Work across various layers of the Android software stack, including the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), framework, and system services.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of system-level applications and services
• Help integrate, configure, and troubleshoot hardware peripherals within the Android ecosystem.
• Support the implementation of secure and reliable device-to-cloud communication features for remote management and telemetry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and product development.
• Participate in technical reviews of system design and interface requirements.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS/MS in a relevant engineering or technical field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in data structures and core algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and/or C++.
• Basic understanding of Android application development and/or Android system architecture.
• Object-oriented design and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading concepts.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems architecture and resource constraints.
• Familiarity with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms and client-server communication models.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools
• Basic familiarity with Linux and the Bash shell at an everyday user level.
• Good verbal communication skills in English.
• A passion for exploring how software interfaces with hardware components.
