DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Technology Intern to join our team for a summer in Pittsburgh. You’ll work with UX, engineering, and product management to build secure, scalable software and automate infrastructure.

The role includes hands-on coding, destructive testing, and creating dashboards, with a hybrid schedule in-office Tue–Thu and remote Mon and Fri. You will gain exposure to senior leadership, participate in professional development workshops, and have the potential for full-time

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with product team members (UX, engineering, and product management) to create secure, reliable software solutions.
• Writes custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases.
• Performs destructive testing to ensure resiliency in production.
• Configures commercial off-the-shelf solutions to meet evolving business needs.
• Creates dashboards, logging, alerts, and responses to proactively address issues.
• Participates in cross-team collaboration and code reviews to learn best practices.
