Job summary

PepsiCo's North American Digital Commerce team in Warsaw seeks an experienced Shopify Developer / Tech Lead to design, develop, and maintain Shopify storefronts using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and merchandising to deliver engaging shopping experiences for US and Canada markets.

Responsibilities include building and customizing themes, integrating Storefront/API apps, reviewing code, and maintaining technical docs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Shopify environments and theme development.
  • Ability to collaborate with Global teams across marketing, sales and merchandising.
  • Strong front-end skills: Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; familiarity with APIs.

  • Participate in code reviews and follow team standards with Git.
  • Troubleshoot storefront issues and ensure QA/UAT readiness.
  • Collaborate with global teams to reuse components for US + CA markets.
  • Maintain technical documentation for custom themes and integrations.

Overview

This high-visibility position, reporting into the Senior Shopify Developer / Tech Lead for North American Digital Commerce. This role will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Shopify-based e-commerce storefronts. This will include building and customizing Liquid templates, theme components, and app integrations to deliver engaging shopping experiences. Key collaborators will be marketing, sales, and site merchandising teams, as well as other Shopify developers both locally and globally, with the goal to implement and iterate on storefront features. This role will apply foundational knowledge of Shopify theme development and front-end engineering to implement features and maintain the US + Canada e-commerce storefront.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Implements front-end and back-end changes requested by marketing, sales, and site merchandising teams — including promotional banners, landing pages, collection updates, and product display logic
  • Builds and modifies Shopify sections, blocks, and snippets to support flexible, reusable content layouts
  • Integrates third‑party apps and custom Shopify APIs (Storefront API, Admin API) to extend storefront functionality
  • Participates in code reviews and adheres to team coding standards and version control practices (Git)
  • Troubleshoots and resolves storefront bugs and performance issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborates with the global development team to consume and adapt shared components and theme updates for the US + CA market.
  • Supports QA and UAT processes, ensuring changes are tested across browsers and devices before deployment.
  • Maintains technical documentation for custom theme components and integrations.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience working directly in Shopify environments
  • Cross‑functional collaboration (especially with Global teams)
  • Technical experience required:
    • Shopify liquid, Theme Architecture
    • JavaScript, HTML / CSS / Tailwind or similar
    • Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, AJAX cart)
    • Metafields, Metaobjects, Custom Data
    • Git / Version Control + Branching workflows
    • Third‑Party app integration and evaluation
  • Prior experience with CPG companies preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected starting compensation range for this position is 184,000 PLN annually (gross).

  • This role is eligible for an annual bonus, based on performance and eligibility.
