Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a experienced software engineer to develop a Network Management Provisioning Manager using Java backend and web frontend technologies, including Tomcat and Hibernate. You will work in a hybrid team environment, with CI/CD pipelines and on-premise deployment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers, participating in code reviews, and leveraging AI-assisted coding to improve efficiency while ensuring high quality software and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in software development with a similar technology stack.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Tomcat and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted code generation and human/AI code review.

Responsibilities

Department Overview

ASTRO Department develops applications to manage the ASTRO networks using Java backend technology and web frontend. The applications are built using CI/CD pipelines and used by Customers on premise.

Job Description

The candidate will use the following technologies: Java21 backend, web frontend. Tomcat, Hibernate. The candidate will be a part of a team of experienced and skilled software engineers developing a Network Management Provisioning Manager application. Our team uses Java, web frontend, Postgres, RHEL and KVM.

Basic Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in software development using similar technology stack
• Knowledge (including detailed technical knowledge) of Java, Tomcat, Hibernate
• The candidate is expected to use AI-code generation on a regular basis with human and AI-assisted code review
• Knowledge of RHEL a large plus
• Knowledge of PostGreSQL a plus
• A team player is required, as work is often split into many user-stories with interaction points between one another
• The team is working in hybrid mode
