Capgemini Engineering in Poland is seeking a skilled C programmer to join the Virtualization team on a cloud infrastructure migration project for a leading SaaS company. You will work on Linux kernel and driver level features to enable Intel-to-ARM migration and contribute to a high-performance, column-oriented database cloud solution running on AWS.

The role emphasizes collaboration in agile teams, code reviews, and delivering reliable, low-latency software.

Formación

• 3+ years of hands-on ANSI C programming experience.
• Solid Linux kernel development and POSIX environments experience.
• Proven multi-core, multi-threaded programming skills.

Responsabilidades

• Designing, building, and maintaining features for the virtualization platform at kernel/driver level on Linux.
• Researching and evaluating options to implement features with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Collaborating with team members and stakeholders, reporting feature readiness and quality to the Team Lead.
• Contributing to code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to processes.
• Providing accurate feature estimations and proposing improvements to add value.

Your role

You will join a dynamic and innovative team working on a cutting‑edge cloud infrastructure migration project for a leading accounting SaaS company. As part of the Virtualization team, you will be at the heart of a technically challenging initiative — migrating a high-performance, column‑oriented database cloud solution from Intel to ARM architecture. This is a rare opportunity to work close to the metal, building a virtual layer from scratch, and making a real impact on next‑generation cloud infrastructure running on AWS.

Your task

• Designing, building, and maintaining new features for the client's virtualization platform, working at the kernel and driver level on Linux to support the migration from Intel to ARM architecture
• Participating in functional and architectural design discussions, researching and evaluating technical options to implement assigned features with a focus on performance and reliability
• Collaborating closely with team members and relevant stakeholders, reporting feature readiness and quality to the Team Lead while proactively raising concerns in critical situations
• Contributing to code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to established software development processes and best practices
• Providing accurate feature estimations, breaking down complex tasks into manageable work items and suggesting technical improvements to continuously add value to the product

Your profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with ANSI C programming, with strong knowledge of low‑level systems development and memory management
• Solid experience in Linux kernel development and POSIX environments, including driver development and working within Linux system internals
• Proven experience with multi‑core and multi‑threaded programming, with the ability to design and implement concurrent systems safely and efficiently
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a sufficient level of English for both verbal and written technical communication, including documentation writing
• A proactive and curious mindset with fast research and learning abilities, comfortable working in agile teams and adapting quickly to new technical challenges
