Capgemini Polska is seeking a Java backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting critical business processes, with deployments in Kubernetes environments. You will implement features, modernize systems, and ensure performance and regulatory compliance, collaborating with architects, product teams, and domain experts.

The role emphasizes Clean Code, TDD/DDD practices, CI/CD, and a hybrid work model with exposure to AI-enabled tooling to boost development

Competenze

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience with Java/JVM technologies.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven and Git.
• Ability to write unit tests (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience with relational (MS SQL/Oracle) or non-relational (Redis/MongoDB) databases.
• Practical experience with CI/CD and version control systems.
• Experience with GenAI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) or willingness to actively use them.
• Communicative English and German (min. B1).

Your role

In this role, you will develop and maintain Java-based applications that directly support critical business processes, particularly in public services. You will design new features, modernize existing systems, and integrate components deployed in Kubernetes-based environments, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with architects, product teams, and domain experts to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. You can expect real influence on how systems evolve, deep exposure to client operations, and the option to use on-prem AI coding tools where they support the team in working more efficiently. In your daily work, you will also use tools that support development, including AI, wherever they help streamline engineering tasks.

Your profile

• Technical degree and solid foundations in software engineering.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with Java/JVM-based technologies.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven and Git.
• Ability to write unit tests (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience with relational (MS SQL/Oracle) or non-relational (Redis/MongoDB) databases.
• Practical experience with CI/CD and version control systems.

Experience with Kubernetes and front-end technologies: Angular or React.
