Job summary

Google Warsaw, Poland is looking for a Software Engineer III in Site Reliability Engineering for GCP Identity. You will write production-grade code, review peers’ work, and help scale, secure, and improve services in a fast‑paced cloud environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2 years of software development experience, and proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, or Go. You’ll collaborate across teams to keep Google Cloud Identity reliable and high‑performing.

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 2 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and automation.
• Hands-on experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps engineer.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (e.g., GCP) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

About the job

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault‑tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google Cloud's services—both our internally critical and our externally‑visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SRE’s will keep an ever‑watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.

Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. On the SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to Google Cloud, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large‑scale system design.
