Google Warsaw, Poland is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for the GCE Engineering Productivity group. You will lead a team tackling deep technical problems, shape the infrastructure and tooling strategy, and apply an AI-first mindset to solutions that accelerate developer productivity.

As part of Google Cloud, you will partner with developers and product managers to scale and improve production quality and coverage, while growing top talent in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of programming experience in one or more general-purpose languages (Java/C/C++/Python).
• 5 years managing internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.
• 2 years of people management or team leadership experience.

Our mission centers on improving the reliability of GCE services while significantly shortening the time to market for new customer features.

Within GCE Hyperloop, our focus is on delivering advanced developer sandboxes and simulation platforms. These initiatives support rapid product development and enable agentic AI-driven workflows, effectively addressing GCE stack complexity through topology simulation.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Poland: zł480000 - zł492000 (PLN) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.
• 5 years of experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools or distributed computing infrastructure.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Proven track of applying AI solutions in DevOps/SDLC realm.
