Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III for Compute infrastructure in Poland. You will work within the Control Simulations group to optimize scheduling algorithms and production loads, contributing to scalable infrastructure used by billions.

We value strength in C++, refactoring, and multithreaded design, plus experience with performance analysis, simulation, Python, and SQL. Polish market compensation includes a substantial package with equity and bonus targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience with refactoring, multithreaded programming.
• Experience with performance analysis and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Implement, debug and enhance various software components for efficient workloads scheduling.
• Develop tools to measure, quantify and fine tune the production load.
• Identify and drive optimizations and improvements to compute infrastructure user experience.
• Design large-scale systems, making the right trade-offs for reliability and maintainability.
• Communicate with partners across the Alphabet to gather requirements and drive adoption efforts.
