Job summary

Point72 in Warsaw is seeking a Software Engineer for Controllers Technology to modernize financial reporting systems and build scalable data pipelines. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and support features in a collaborative engineering environment.

The role requires 7+ years of programming experience, strong data engineering skills with T-SQL, Python, and Airflow, and experience with Python or C#. You will partner with controllers and technology colleagues to translate business needs

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Modernize the profit-and-loss reporting platform that helps finance, management, and investment teams understand firm performance with greater accuracy and speed
• Design scalable data pipelines and reconciliation workflows that improve the reliability, transparency, and timeliness of critical finance data
• Build analytical applications and reporting capabilities that turn complex valuation and performance data into clear, actionable insights
• Develop validation and adjustment tools that strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and support accurate reporting across business processes
• Partner with controllers, valuation specialists, and Technology colleagues to translate business needs into robust, maintainable software
• Own features through design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support in a collaborative engineering environment
• Analyze data flows and calculation logic to anticipate reporting needs, identify gaps, and improve end-to-end process quality
• Create intuitive visualizations and user interfaces that help stakeholders investigate trends, exceptions, and performance drivers
• Improve platform resilience through sound engineering practices, production support, monitoring, and continuous refinement

WHAT’S REQUIRED

• 7+ years of programming experience with training in computer science or a related technical field
• Strong data engineering, analytics, ETL, and reconciliation skills using T-SQL, Python, and Airflow
• Strong software development skills using Python or C#
• Experience designing, developing, supporting, and coordinating users for end-to-end systems
• Ability to build systems and workflows with high standards for numerical accuracy, data quality, and operational reliability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to solving problems
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
